Eye Love Black Magic

A how-to video guide on how to achieve beautiful, black, smoky eyes. This look is a classic for me, though I rarely actually take the time or make the effort to do this look. And also, I dread the fact that my eye make-up will probably end up all down my face, or that I'll end the night with enormous panda eyes. But going through the make-up stages step by step with make-up artist, Daniel Sandler, has inspired me to try it out in the nearest future. I'll just have to remember to check my make-up regularly during the evening and go light on the champagne!

One day I'm going to move to London.

I'll walk up and down Brick Lane in a nighty (think a silky, short nightdress) and a gorgeous vintage faux fur coat, preferably YSL. With me, I'll bring my bag, my friend. He/she carries my life. I will be like a magpie, collecting ideas from all the inspiring people. Thank you London girls and boys!

If I was in a white room all by myself, dressing up and making an effort would probably be the only thing to keep me sane in the long run. Oh but hang on a minute! In my mind I've already put on a silk nightdress, so maybe this girl is making some sense. Or I've just lost my senses...

Mary-Kate Olsen's face has been seen in many a newsstand since being on the cover of the September issue of UK Elle, and in October another lovely it-girl's face will be taking over the magazine's cover. Alexa Chung, British TV-presenter, former fashion model, style icon, girlfriend of the Arctic Monkey Alex Turner (the list goes on!) will be decorating the front of UK Elle. Ahh, I can't wait for it! Elle's just pulling out fabulous celebrities one after the other out of their goodiebag. I wonder who will be on their November issue...?
Be bold and take a guess..which celebrity do you think UK Elle will choose as their November face?

I found this video on UK Elle's site, and even though it's quite short, we still get to see a lot of Alexa's vibrant, wonderful and original personality. Some people have told me that they can not understand what all the fuss about Alexa Chung is. If you're one of those people, take a look at this video. You'll see that the reason why so many like her is that her style is one of a kind, she's extremely witty and appart from being absolutely beautiful, she's got a brain as well. And if you're one of the people who love her, you just know that you'll LOVE this video.

Guess who's on the cover of the September issue of UK Elle? It's none other than Mary-Kate Olsen herself. Whenever an Olsen twin is on the cover of a fashion magazine, I'm ready to run to the corner shop, pop the champagne and do a little victory dance because I know I'll always get a great interview and not to mention incredible photos. Both Mary-Kate and Ashley know and love their fashion, and it's those kind of celebrities who truly deserve to be on the covers of fashion magazines.

I have fallen in love with this editorial from US Elle (March 2009). Richard Bush has taken these amazing photographs, and just look at the incredible lighting he has used! I tried to pick out my favourite shots, but it is impossible: I heart them all.
