Stand to attention, for classic army and navy styles are a surefire hit for the next season.

Runway: With officers' coats and double-breasted pea jackets on offer, be ready to push Sgt. Pepper throughout fall.

Reality: Make a seafaring impression in a navy wool number with gleaming brass buttons. Look out for collar details too, like stiff lapels, round necks and stand-up styles. Pick a coat in olive green, navy, charcoal or red and team it with chunky boots or patent platforms. You can also layer up in khaki tones or take a bold stand in sharp cuts decorated with buttons and braids. Glitzy embellishment gives the peacoat a Seargent Pepper spin.

Beckhams: Vanity Fair Magazine's Best Dressed Couple

The annual fashion poll by US magazine Vanity Fair said the Beckhams made the list "because the whole is greater than the sum of the parts".

Joining them in the top ten are other celebrity couples including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher.

The complete sixty-eighth annual Best And Worst Dressed List will appear in the September 2007 Style Edition of Vanity Fair, featuring supermodel covergirl Gisele Bundchen.

Girls who are boys who like boys to be girls

Oh I was quite the Blur fan as a youth. Marjan Pejoski is known for pushing gender boundaries in his collections and this collection is no different, however I've not been too drawn to the pieces until now. These looks are inspiring and most importantly wearable. Susie recently posted about this collection but I wanted to talk again about the menswear on offer. Yes the collection is pretty androgynous but I don't want to be sharing any of these pieces with her!

The AW/08 collection is something for guys and girls to swap, interchange and mix up in textures and shapes...

The beauty is (as always with good menswear) all in the cut and the drape. With a simple monochrome palette (although my favourite piece is the pistachio jacket), Pejoski is pushing menswear in ways other than colour. He is not afraid to play with the female silhouette, reforming it for the male, at times with spectacular results, at others interesting. Although it is stifling hot in London at the moment, I have to admit I am thinking about my next winter coat and Pejoski's outerwear is inspiring.

Happy Birthday Fashion156!

The ever wonderful Fashion156 recently blew out three candles and celebrated with a review issue looking back over three years of quality work. Three years after launching, it still shows how an online magazine can achieve that same feeling you get from flicking through your favourite glossy. Guy Hipwell is devoted to fashion, working sixteen to twenty hour days, seven days a week and with his talented team of interns and passionate helpers he has really set the online benchmark. We can't wait to see a lot more from on of our favourite online magazine but for now, let's wish them Happy Birthday and look over a few of the highlights along with a few words from Guy about his experiences over the last few years...

"We are all totally bald in the f156 office as literally every day is "nervous breakdown day". I always want the show pieces from the collections for my shoots and of course the PRs have to prioritise and established magazines take precedence. Plus we shoot twenty looks/images a day - a massive amount for our photographers - and I am literally running to get models changed and styled. It is always manic and chaotic!"

On his favourite shoots...
"The nightmarish ones, always turn out the best. The underwater shoot was one of the hardest to arrange as I wanted an ink blue pool, not the normal bright blue and no designers wanted to loan their collections to be ruined underwater. The Circus shoot when we were up to our knees in mud, I was nearly crying with frustration as we had racks of amazing clothing and I was terrified the whole lot would be ruined - meaning huge charges to my credit card. Oh yes, not forgetting the day we were nearly arrested in Richmond Park for not having the proper permit and wondering just what I was going to do with all the dozens of balloons we had suspended in the air as props."

Christina Aguilera By The Wall Of Flowers In Macy's 150th Anniversary Ad

I've never been to Macy's store (obviously) but seeing Christina Aguilera in the store's campaign ad, I decided to write a post about it.

According to Pop Crunch, as Macy's celebrates its 150th anniversary this October, celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Donald Trump, Martha Stewart, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein were commissioned to pose and have their photos taken by famed Rolling Stone photographer Mark Seliger for a series of commemorative photos.

For a start, Christina Aguilera had a photo in a stunning vibrant dress by a wall of flowers.

She looks good in this photo but I just wish that it was somebody else's face. How about you?
