I don't even have a land line anymore, let alone a "regular phone," but I kind of want a rotary phone just to put on my shelf and recall the creepy split-pea green rotary phone we used to have in my basement when I was kid. A rotary phone always makes me want to redo my bedroom in all pink and dance around my room like Ann-Margret.

Binge Stocking Stuffer: Tank Bank!

I had the day off today and spent it hanging out (in my fun new Alternative Apparel "chill pants") and wandering around with my sister, who's visiting from Virginia. We stopped into our favorite store, Exit 9, where I tee-hee'ed over this cute water tank bank:

They're all sold out at Exit 9 (online, that is -- they had a bunch in the shop), but you can get them at MoMA for $25. They're mini replicas (obviously) of New York City's famed rooftop water tanks (Brooklyn Industries uses a water tank in their logo), which have been around since the 1800s. One of the coolest things about water tanks, aside from the cool juxtaposition of their olde-tymey appearance atop new buildings, is that they're still produced by the same two family businesses that have been making them all along -- Isseks Brothers and the Rosenwach Tank Company. True story!

Anyway, $25 is a bit much for a bank, but you can put that RIGHT BACK INTO IT when you save your pennies inside! THINK ABOUT IT!

This headpiece is made of PHEASANT feathers, which totally flips the script on peacock feathers, changes the game, and takes this shit to a whole new level, to use three cliches in ONE sentence. I don't know that I can pull off headpieces -- actually wait. I KNOW I can, I just basically lack the hairstyling skills. But if I DID have those skills, I THINK I could rock this. I'd love to buy it, but I also know my cat would probably discover it and rekill it. That dick. Anyway, check out the rest of Pluma's gorgeous handmade feather headbands. They're all pheasant (I think), and they're all quite reasonably priced for such prettiness.

I'm in big big trouble deep. I'm in love. With a hamburger bed. Actually, it's a cheeseburger, but beggars can't be choosers, as I used to tell my ex-boyfriend!

It's the granddaddy of all non-edible burger products. As the proud owner of a burger pillow, I can ONLY DREAM of owning this burger bed. And I never will. It got sold on ebay for $3,050. Grrrr. If only I'd known, I could've sacrificed a wedding dress and just rolled down the aisle between these amazing bunz.
