Why Aren't I Wearing: These Two-Tone Fergie 'Amplify' Heels

I will full-on admit that I like Fergie. Well, I have a soft spot for her. She fully embraces her trannydom, she's always workin' on her fitness, she can do a cartwheel and sing at the same time, she once peed her pants in public and was like 'whatevs,' and her hair is usually fun.
Therefore, I'm NOT at all ashamed to be having thoughts about Fergie's "Amplify" heels. They're bold and transrageous, just like their namesake.
($59.99, Fergie, Piperlime.com)
($250, Current Elliott, Net-a-porter.com)I'd wear them with these Current Elliott medium wash skinny jeans (if I owned them).

Daniblack Denim Studded Pump: Major Desire!
($175, Daniblack)Accept no imitations, unless it's straight out of a 1984 time capsule. I ADORE Daniblack's studded denim "Queen" pump.
($119, Oh Deer, Piperlime)
($119, Oh Deer, Piperlime)Oh Deer!'s studded Sweetie pumps are visually intriguing, but I bought them, wore them for just a few hours, and was rendered almost incapable of walking -- 3 1/2 inch heels aren't usually a deal-breaker, but the construction on these make them fucking crippling. More like Oh Shit! I promptly sent them back. The Daniblacks look way more comfy.
+ Also, enter to win a pair of Daniblack Vellum or Mimosa satin rosette pump or flat! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!

Take A Bow: Adorable Bow Heels!
Yay for heels and flats with adorbs bow accents -- a totes yay way to femme up menswear. So, shall we? Let's!
These have a great Deco feel. Like, if The Rocketeer were a chick, she'd wear these. Which brings me to my recent awesome idea: a Rockettes-Rocketeer mash-up called the Rocketettes. It'd basically be a Rockettes dance show, but it'd be more performance art-y, and they'd be dressed like Rocketeers. Awesome, right?
(Apprx $61 USD, Schuh.co.uk)
(Apprx $61 USD, Schuh.co.uk)Such a cute alternative to regular ol' black pumps. Yay for me: I just bought a similar pair from H&M the other week, but they were patent leather (but not TOO shiny) and had a lower heel for added comfiness.
($60, MIA, Piperlime)
($60, MIA, Piperlime)Patent leather bow pumps = really cute in red! They come in black too.
(Apprx $51 USD, Schuh.co.uk)
k. FIN!

(Apprx $51 USD, Schuh.co.uk)Slightly ridiculous, but ridiculously fun.
($176, Nana, Yoox.com)
($176, Nana, Yoox.com)Usually I'm not into grommets and punch-outs and stuff, but MAAAAN would I ever make an exception for these Nana boots.

Boot Binge: Modern Vintage, 80/20 & Ayla
It's a Monday evening boot binge, everybunnies! Three brands for you -- 80%20, Modern Vintage, and the amazing Ayla!

($450, Modern Vintage, Piperlime)
It's probably for the best that these don't come in my size. I LOVE the screw detailing! Are screws the new pyramid studs??? Also, i still DREAM of these Modern Vintage heels.
($230, 80%20, Karmaloop)
You just send in your measurements and you get a ridiculously lush, luxe pair of leather boots TO FIT YOUR OWN PERSONAL SITUATION, for under $200! AND they come with spare instep liners to pad them out (I ordered a 9, even though I'm an 8 -- they fit perfectly.) Anyway the Tokyo style, pictured above, come up to just a few inches below my knee, and they ACTUALLY zip up with skinny jeans. Not lying. And again, not lying -- THEY'RE under $200. If you're not so into the criss-cross straps (too Mad Max for you?), check out the Milano -- they remind me of Coach or Cole Haan riding boots:
($189, Ayla, Shoe-Store.net)
($230, 80%20, Karmaloop)Kind of like how the more I look at my cat, the more completely perfect he becomes, the more I look at 80%20's Justine boots, the more awe-inspiring they are. One-inch heel, crinkled black leather with tan panels in an Art Deco-y design. AND a wide opening at the calf!?!? I gots the vapors! Oh, and apparently promo code FREE25 gets you free shipping, and that ain't nothin'! And again too also, the Justine boots come in Smoke too:

LASTLY but MOST importantly, you simply MUST get your legs on some Ayla boots. I own the Tokyo style seen above -- the photo does NOT do them justice -- and they're phenomworthy. They're custom made to fit YOUR size, which means no cramming/ stuffing/ shoving/ shoehorning your normal-woman-sized legs into boots the width of pencils. Seriously, Mary-Kate recently had to return a pair of boots because they were too slim and SHE HERSELF IS SLIM! I don't get it. Now I'm not such a big girl, but I do got me some soccer player calves (minus the soccer and the playing), and too often I've practically busted a YKK trying to get some tall boots zipped up. Not so with these radicational Ayla boots:

($189, Ayla, Shoe-Store.net)
($189, Ayla, Shoe-Store.net)I can't even deal with how gorgeous the Manhattan boots are! It's like they WALKED out of the early '70s!
($134, Ayla, Shoe-Store.net)
($134, Ayla, Shoe-Store.net)Um, hi. These are like Frye at like one-third of the price. Now THAT'S what I call recession busting!

($485, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Refinery29.com)So purdy, so 'spensif.
($24.50. Delias)I know this is a knockoff of something (that I saw at Barney's Co-op), but for the life of me, I can't find it. Anyone know?
($28, CL By Laundry For KB, Lulusfashionlounge.com)
So effing cute!!
($226, Michael Kors, Zappos.com)
I know this is last season (OMG!), but I still like it.
($10.99, Old Navy)
Back in October of 2006, Stylebubble previewed the Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton market bags and pointed out the mixed messages and metaphors inherent in such a design. Then, in February of 2007, Knittantics also was like WTF? I, late the party in March of 2007, hated on the LV bag. By May of 2007, Inmybag had had ENOUGH! But, I hadn't seen the the Jaye Hersh version until just now. (Like I said: late to the party). It's probably totes hypocritical of me, and I don't think it's funny to indirectly make fun of Chinese people, but I like the Jaye Hersh version, okay? I'll just tell myself that it's a backlash against the obnoxious Louis Vuitton commentary on Asians carrying around laundry bags. Um, or something. Sue me.
($89, Sam Edelman, Piperlime.com)
($485, Marc By Marc Jacobs, Shopbop.com)
Want. Need. OMG.

($10.99, Old Navy)I wouldn't personally carry this, but it's nice to know it exists for those of you who would.

($70, Special Blend, Zappos)I really like the green plaid, so I will try to ignore the fact that this has built-in thumbholes. Sorry guys, that's all you get today.

($385, Loeffler Randall, Activeendeavors.com)I usually feel like ruffles are a no-no for grown women, but Loeffler Randall can pretty much do no wrong in my book, so I'm making a special exception.
Cute. You know.

Harlequin-Inspired Shoes From Alaïa & Nude Footwear
Inspired by my silk blazer purchase, I've been on a 1930s tuxedo-y menswear jaunt. Therefore I've been gazing longingly, loving at harlequin-inspired black-and-white shoes. Such as...
($129, nude footwear, Piperlime.com)
($129, nude footwear, Piperlime.com)These two-toned suede heels are kind of like a girlie tuxedo in shoe form. They're precious without being OVERLY precious and venturing into the dangerously cutesy barf zone. NEED!
($669, Alaïa, TheOutnet.com)
($669, Alaïa, TheOutnet.com)A Deco dream in bootie form. I really should just STOP looking at TheOutnet.com.
Perforated patent booties are as close to Lady Gaga as I ever want to get.
Oh, so PS, I had a wedding this past weekend, and I needed a nice blazer to wear over my dress (this Christopher Deane dress, which has now seen MANY weddings -- yes, I impulsively bought a pricey-for-me new blazer, but seriously, that Christopher Deane dress has danced with me at like five weddings as well as my own engagement party). So I ended up getting this silk-esque blazer from Topshop:

($145, Topshop)BTW, the description says navy blue, but friends, it's black. It fits well, but when I saw it on me in a photo we (the blazer and I!) looked kinda amorphous. I'll chalk it up to the fact that I was wearing a waistless shift dress. Lesson learned -- don't wear a slouchy blazer with a shift dress and expect anything less than a net result = slouchy/ no waist look! I won't make that mistake again, but I will rock this with some yes-I-actually-do-have-a-waist outfits: t-shirts and skinny jeans and boots. YAY, FALL!

Footwear Friday
Okay, here's a Freaky Friday Fun Fact: I really don't like ice cream much. Something about the salt content and how all that soda makes me crave gallons of water for a freaking fortnight. But what I DO like is cone heels. So, let's begin, shall wes?
Ahhh the Lanvin cone heel -- the daddy mack of them all. J'adore! They're not easy to get your hands on, but I did find a pair of the blue ones, and if you're a size 40, you're in luck.
Sure, they're totally unwalkable, but if you're spending that kinda cash on heels, you probably can afford cabs. There are also a handful of pairs on eBay.
($278, Hugo, Zappos)

($171, Fornarina, Zappos)
($171, Fornarina, Zappos)I'm not too into snakeskin, but I could certainly make an exception for these.
($201, Via Spiga, Zappos)
I could probably do a week's worth of posts on Oxfords alone, but these are also great work wear.
As are these. Ultimate power bitch banker heel. Woo!
And her opposite, the fun-lovin' hippie kid sister who comes to visit for the weekend and leaves crumbs everywhere.
