OH LORDY, Lourdes. Pleae don't EVER stop dressing so perfectly. I'm literally more than twice her age, and I don't even care that my style role model is a tween.
Lourdes is in an AllSaints "Touchdown" skull tank. The rest you can probably work out on your own -- black skinny jeans, black boots, slouchy plaid button-down. Obvz. And PS: If you haven't been to the brand-new AllSaints in Soho yet, get on it. It's like a turn-of-the-century machine shop usurped an abandoned motorcycle warehouse. And Alexander Wang, Rick Owens, and Rei Kawakubo were somehow involved. Oh yeah, and while they haven't made QUITE as much noise as Topshop, AllSaints made $1 million more in their first two weeks of operation than Topshop did. Crazy, right? Not that it's a competition or anything.
Milla Jovovich, seen here at the Schumacher show at Berlin Fashion Week, continues to own being beautiful. I need to unlock the secret to having the kinda wet-look bun that falls halfway between tousled and "done." Oh wait. The secret is having a beauty team. Sigh.
I hereby dedicate DJ Khaled's screamo-Tuned "All I Do Is Win (Remix)" (also my current theme song/ motto) to Milla's perpetual win.
miami beach is a very beautiful beach in the world, and is one of the top celebrities beach where one of them kim kardashian sunbathing.

Okay, I'm going a little off topic for a minute. I almost never talk about my "real life" or day job or anything, because that's not why you come here. (And this isn't LiveJournal.) But I thought I'd share this video interview I did with Courtney Love at my day job. First of all, would 1994 "Doll Parts"/ smeared lipstick you EVER have imagined that 2010 Courtney Love would've been rolling out in a denim button-down, white tee, skinny jeans and sensible black flats 16 years later? Anyway, when I was growing up in the 1990s, Courtney Love (and Tanya Donelly and Liz Phair) HUGELY influenced the way I dressed -- black tights, Docs, babydoll skirts, ratty old-man flannels and crappy sweaters. (Unfortunately, Blossom was also my style icon at the time, so I actually DID own a black fisherman's hat with two ENORMOUS flowers on the front. Wearing a sticker that said ASSHOLE would've been just as effective.) I also had some off-brand Jnco skater jeans that were not at all Courtney's fault. I have only myself to blame for those. Anyway, not to toot my own horn, but the interview turned out quite well, mainly because Courtney's funny and an open book. So, here's Courtney Love talking about her style evolution, her "kook," how her slipdress beginnings weren't a conscious style choice, the choice to dress in a more "elegant, adult way," and her hardcore obsession with Etsy. (This was a two-part interview -- you can watch the first part here.)
Next/ randomly, PLEASE check out this AMAZING little girl who is absolutely BURSTING with enthusiasm. I need to be operating in this mode every morning before I brush my teeth.
I will full-on admit that I like Fergie. Well, I have a soft spot for her. She fully embraces her trannydom, she's always workin' on her fitness, she can do a cartwheel and sing at the same time, she once peed her pants in public and was like 'whatevs,' and her hair is usually fun.
Therefore, I'm NOT at all ashamed to be having thoughts about Fergie's "Amplify" heels. They're bold and transrageous, just like their namesake.
Before watching Emmy Rossum on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," I had almost no opinion of her, good or bad. My only knowledge of her was fact-based. She was in the "Phantom of the Opera" movie. (Fact!) I once saw her on 45th Street holding hands with Adam Duritz. (Fact!) She's in that new show with William H. Macy. (Fact!)
But after seeing her on Fallon in this amazing J. Mendel outfit, she's now unofficially the queen of orange. Orange is my favorite color, but, as we probably all know, it's a really difficult color to wear, especially if you're fair-skinned (and I am!) But Emmy looks absolutely stunning in head-to-toe, two-orange. I love the warmth her gold earrings bring out and her perfect neutral, muted makeup. Kudos to you, Emmy Rossum! Or, as Ramona Singer would say, "kudoose!"
I can't tell if her shoes are maroon or brown, but they're not, THANK GOODNESS, black, which can be one of those worst colors you could pair with orange, lest you look like a walking celebration of Halloween.
But, orange is big for Spring 2011, so here a few tips for wearing orange: + Gold accessories. Stay golden! + Wear beige, camel, tan or putty-colored shoes. I LOVE the combination of orange and beige heels. + If you can pull it off, complement orange with sky blue or rusty brown accents. Or even a sweet lavender.
Love Gwen, love L.A.M.B., but tweed and harem pants are a classic example of "never the two shall meet." And also "just because you can doesn't mean you should."
But there's no way that this black and gold Marchesa work of art -- referred to more commonly as a "dress" -- will ever be mine because
a.) I don't even celebrate Christmas...
b.) Even when it was marked down from $4,830 to $1,449, that's still a no-go, and
Meanwhile,
c.) I was tardy to the party and it's sold out. Because it's from waaaay back in 2008, if you can even remember that far back to when your favorite fashion plate and mine, Miley Cyrus, wore it to the 2008 American Music Awards.
I guess I'll "let" Miley have this one... and pray she holds a big-ass garage sale or something. I'm not proud.
HOLY FUCKING FEDERLINE! Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant. (Story at TMZ.com). You know, I step into the grocery store for a few Tuesday night needs, I walk out, and the last bastion of Spears family hope has a mini bun in the oven. (And please note, I already know I'm going to hell, so to ensure that I get there safely, I'm gonna continue blogging about a 16-year-old's illegitimate pregnancy.)
Okay, so seriously... WHAT THE FUCK? Are condoms not available in other parts of the country? And it's funny, right now I'm reading "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides, and I JUST read the part about how sometimes the English language isn't powerful enough to contain emotion or sentiment. Um, HELLO! TRUER! THAN! EVER! Because is there even a word for levels of schadenfreude this fucking epic? If not, someone ought to invent one.
Also, do you think this was like... some kind of intentional attack by the Winehouse Fielder-Civil camp to deflect attention away from Amy's arrest? Do you think they're even capable of plotting, let alone standing up straight?
Ok. I'm off to enjoy the inevitable media feeding frenzy.
In the newest issue of Nylon, Mary-Kate is wearing a pair of Christian Louboutins that probably weigh more than she does. All the more reason I should have them instead -- she could HURT herself!
My attempts to ID the Louboutins has so far been fruitless. Here's as close as I came:
Wah. Even less of a cigar. Anyway, if anyone knows what the Louboutins that MK is wearing are called, please lemme know. If only to assuage my curiosity.
Also, and oddly, I've never had this problem before, but I've HEARD that people sometimes refer to their Louboutins as "Loubs." PLEASE don't. It sounds sort of like an infection.
Wait... I didn't THINK I wanted a marble print dress -- it kinda looks like a crumped-up, stepped-on paper bag a little, no? But after seeing it on Leighton Meester, I think I maybe do, right?
I saw Beyonce in those absurd $4,150 Balenciaga Lego heels at the AMAs the other week, but I was too lazy to "bolg" about it. Thankfully, the absurdly, obscenely hilarious Kingdom Of Style busted wasn't -- she nabbed Ms. Knowles for galavanting about in these trannybot heels.
Anyway, these shoes are Pure Atrocity. Plus, and I'm not usually the first to blow the "soooo last-season" whistle, but these um, are, especially when you're as recognizable as Beyonce and you're wearing primary colored Transformers on your feet at an awards show. Dude, it is YOUR DUTY to bring something FRESH to the table, even if it is something your cray-cray mama made outta Liberace curtains.
Manolo himself deemed these old "hat," if you will, back in September. THE HORROR!
Anyway, LEAVE THEM ALONE, Chris Crocker style. Let them go quietly into that deep, dark hein-shoe resting place in the sky, never to be heard from again. Can we? Please? Forever? Forever and for realsies?
Jessica Alba -- seen here last night at the premiere of her new movie, Awake -- is gorgeous, and blah blah blah. We all know that. But what is up with this terrible black lace dress? It's so matronly, like something Nancy Reagan would've worn to a last-minute New Year's Eve or something. The scalloped lace top looks like a goth funeral parlor valance, and a gathered and knotted midriff is NEVER not reminiscent of a bathing suit. And I don't care what Elle or Vogue or whoever says: peeptoes with tights should ONLY be done in an emergency. I just don't get it. Why go halfway hot when you could be COMPLETELY hot??? You know... because my opinion MATTERS! And it matters MOST!
She looks about a billion times more gorgey here at the Spike TV Scream Awards in this beautiful embellished white dress whose designer remains a mystery but I wish I knew. Check out larger images here for the full effect.
Much as I LOATHE Nicole Kidman -- she is a scary, malnourished skeletal ice princess evil fembot with awful hair -- I do LOVE this Alexander McQueen butterfly dress (photo via the fab FabSugar). I agree with FabSugar's assessment that this may not be the best dress for the occasion (this looks more like a Fashion Rocks type dress), but on the other hand, who cares. And on the third hand, I sorta wish this weren't wasted on wispy, wafer-thin Nicole, you know, and instead worn by someone superawesome and stylish and more boobalicious ... like me. Or someone superawesome and slightly more famous than me like Lily Allen or Rosario Dawson or Alicia Keys or something. Even Jessica Simpson for Christ's sake. Oh well. Just another reason why I should be rich and stuff. K, bye!
While I'm truly indifferent to Jessica Alba's comings and goings in this world, I do give her two style snaps for totally POWER DRESSING TO THE MAX in the Lanvin Pre-Fall 2009 metallic dress she wore to the Spike TV’s Scream Awards 2009 earlier this month.
Um, was Mischa Barton on her way to audition for a remake of Wonder Woman? All she's missing is the boots. Or maybe she was en route to/from a stint moonlighting as a palm reader? I'm not even gonna get into the asymmetrical shawl -- does such a dire abomination really even merit discussion? And, Mischa -- your body is to die for. Your legs are practically longer than my entire person. But that's no excuse to wear a white mini!!! Or culottes. Or whatever the fuck is happening below your pupik. And probably even Hillary Clinton regrets headbands. And that was like, 1992. And that error occurred OUTSIDE the world of fashion. There's NO EXCUSE to make that same mistake 15 years later.
Ugh. Let's cleanse our palettes, shall we, with two gorgeous pieces I'd very much love to own:
($265, Salvador Sapena, Asos.com) Absolutely stunning and sooo comfy-lookin'.
With the VMAs, Emmys (ZzzzzzzzzzzzZZzzZzzzzz) and Fashion Week within a hot second of each other, (BET Awards too, though those were a little longer ago), I've been binging on red carpet snaps and devouring the awesome Redcarpetfashionawards.blogspot.com. A few things worth noting, so to speak:
I effing LOVE this Abaete Fall 2007 dress that Rihanna and Nicole Scherzinger both wore. I even love the Haylie Duff version, though the black-and-white is by far my fave. The color scheme (that's actually purple on the bodice of the black version) represents everything I love about the late '80s/ early '90s: the colors and the "quirky" geometrical shapes. This is like the dress version of those Exclamation "Make a statement without saying a word!" magazine ads. And I LURVE IT.
Hot pink ain't easy to pull off, but both Kate Bosworth and Thandie Newton look hot, appropriately, in the same Preen dress. And I actually love Kate's navy heel pairing. Very unexpected. Thandie's black accessories look great, but black with pink is pretty go-to. A white clutch with the navy heels would be even hotter, y'all.
Ohhhhhh Beyonce... seen here in Dolce & Gabbana at the BET Awards in June 2007... So much talent. So many beauties. So little style. And the medieval-style chastity belt... just... no. No. She looks like the post-modern Tin Man's girlfriend.
Oy. Eva Pigford IS a pretty girl with a great body. But FUCK... Too. Much. Going. On. Here. This Laundry by Design dress looks like one of those saltillo blankets, which are fine for the couch or... say... Mexico... but not head-to-toeage on the red carpet. This dress COULD be amazing if, say, the top were all black or some other solid... but the print overwhelms her wee-ness, and the fly-away hair ain't helping either. (Am I the only one who thinks hair up is the way to go when you've got on something really busy below?)
As much as I can't STAND the Moldy Peaches, I must refer to the words of Adam Green, who so succinctly wrote in his song "Jessica:" Jessica, Jessica Simpson, you've got it all wrong. She is such a NATURALLY pretty girl. So WHY the jacked-up basketball boobies and six-shades-darker skin color and punched-in-both-eyes makeup??? I do love the honey hair color though. To her credit, this photo WAS from her visit to see the Pussycat Dolls, so I guess considering that, she almost looks conservative, relatively speaking.
Uhhhhh.... Sapphyri's (from Charm School) boobs look like flotation devices. Do they double as some sort of dual-engine blimp, and if so, did they play a part in transporting her from the Land Of No Mirrors Or Taste over to Vegas for the VMAs? It's hard to believe that this is the same person as this. She looks like a cracked-out Jackeeeeeeee.
By the way...
They still fucking sell this stuff!!! Or, for just $24 plus the cost of hives, you can get the old-school shit.
The original Carrie Bradshaw!
PS: So, whatcha'll think about The Binge covering celeb stuff (such as in this post)? We won't be making it a regular habit or anything... but... wouldja rather see more shopping stuff? Celeb stuff? Beauty? Don't worry -- we'll still be keepin' it real, but tell us whatcha want as we're curious to know, and we care about you, loyal Bingers (and you too, newcomer swastika Racked readers!) Let us know in los comments.
We don't focus too too much on famous folks here at Chez Binge, mainly because there are more than enough celebrity gossip sites out there, but a few celeb snaps caught my eye today.
I really like the dress Lauren "Don't Call Me L.C." Conrad wore to the Teen Choice Awards. Apparently she designed the dress herself. More pix here.
Also, I was psyched to see that the adorkable Justin Long (who's rumored to be dating Drew Barrymore - !!?!?) was wearing Modern Amusement, an indie Ben Sherman-esque men's line that I absolutely love.
Jennifer Garner does something or other in Japan. She looks so graceful and elegant yet not totally boring. Yay! (Photo via JustJared)
Rihanna looks like someone wrapped her in some kind of haute protective packaging at some bullshit Nascar event. I do like her shoe (singular) though. Looks like Ruthie Davis. (Photo via Rocklandusa.com)
I actually think Mischa Barton looks amazing in her Iceberg ads... though not as amazing as she looks on the August cover of Elle UK, despite those unforgivable disco bracelets that look like big, gay cantaloupes or something. (It actually took me a while to realize they were bracelets on her actual arms and not some overlay product shot).
The bangles, by the way are by British accessories designer Scott Wilson, who designed the piece for Matthew Williamson, who I kinda think looks like he could be Mischa's gay cousin. Don't they both sorta have a bit of that weird Care Bear stare situation happening?
Anyway, it certainly looks like she's come a long way from her denim days.
Also, I don't know what's more disconcerting: Amy Winehouse's drug probs or her in a bikini:
Also from The Superficial, I'm plotzing over this hilarious depiction of Lindsay Lohan doing drugs in rehab troubles:
According to reports, Lindsay was also said to have been caught having sex in a toilet stall with a male patient. She's also frequently late to meetings and refuses to do any chores or menial tasks such as washing up. Man, even in rehab this woman is unstoppable. She's like the Terminator, but instead of being programmed to kill she's been programmed to party. Earth could get hit by a meteor and Lindsay Lohan would be the only surviving creature, and instead of looking for other survivors or getting help, she'd just drink a beer and try to hump a corpse.
