I have a thing for hot pink and over-the-top accessories. When they're combined together, I almost get obsessed.

Belted by Ellery

These belts from the Baroque n' roll collection by Ellery are incredible. I love the different ways they have styled it apart from its obvious function as a belt. Even though it looks quite heavy, it works perfect as a necklace, and it looks fantastic as a shoulder decoration. I probably wouldn't recommend wearing it like this for hours and hours though (hello back pains and neck pains!), but I will salute everyone who will take a shot at it.

orange + blue = a match made in colour heaven

Yesterday, visiting my favourite streetstyle sites, I stumbled aross this photo on The Sartorialist. I am a sucker for unusual and daring colour combinations, and this is no exception. The warm orange and the electric blue compliments each other perfectly, and she wears this with an amazing confidence you have to have to wear such a statement outfit. This beautiful woman's outfit immediately sent my thoughts flying to the outfit Ashley Olsen wore at the launch of her and Mary-Kate's contemporary sportswear line Elizabeth and James. And does anyone else notice that we are witnessing a Roger on someone other than Carrie Bradshaw? Get your studded belts out, folks, it's the new big thing.

And just out of curiosity, who do you think wears orange and blue best? Ashley Olsen or the woman in Milan?

P.S Just to let you know, I'm going away on holiday now and I'm away for about 2 weeks. I don't think I'll be able to write while I'm away, but you never know. Anyway, when I get back I've got an idea for a few posts which might include you, so be sure to check back soon!
I've received a few tags, so I thought I'd do one now (I'll do the rest when I get back from my holiday!) I got tagged by the two wonderful and sweet bloggers Moni and Fashion Chalet. These are my 5 five songs on rotation at the moment:
I give the tag on to anyone who wants to do this. Come on, you know you want to!
So, have a lovely and fantastic two weeks, and get up to lots of fun, my dears!

get waisted with roger...

WARNING: if you haven't seen the Sex & the City movie yet and don't want to see some of the outfits that are seen in it, then you should not keep on reading.

In a recent interview with Nylon Magazine, Patricia Field told the readers some SATC behind-the-scenes information: "Sarah had a vintage studded belt she really liked, she named it Roger...and she would always say "Pat, get me Roger!" And I was like, "Carrie Bradshaw can't wear the same belt with every outfit!"

Looking at some photos from the SATC movie of Carrie Bradshaw's style, I spotted a certain someone-someone quite often. Aha! You guessed it..it's Roger! And he is pretty darn fine. He can work every outfit; from the everyday jeans and t-shirt look to the most fabulous ball gown. I must admit that I have fallen a little bit in love with this very gorgeous gentleman.

Pat Field continued talking about belts to Nylon Mangazine, and about how she thinks they will become the new big thing: "I think belts are going to keep being very big. I like what a belt does to the of a woman. It's like, okay girls, pull it in!"

So take Pat Field's advice and next time you're out shopping, don't forget to look out for your very own Roger. He can make your outfit look a hundred times better and unique.
